The Code of Conduct and Client Care Rules 2012 and sets out the standard of professional conduct and client care required of real estate professionals.
Compliance
You must comply with the requirements of the Real Estate Agents Act 2008, the Regulations and the Real Estate Agents Act (Professional Conduct and Client Care) Rules 2012 (the Code of Conduct) at all times when carrying out all residential, commercial, industrial and rural property real estate transactions.
You should read the Code of Conduct together with the Act. Failing to meet the requirements of the Act or falling short of the standards set out in the Code of Conduct may constitute unsatisfactory conduct or misconduct.
Copies of the Code of Conduct must be displayed in real estate offices and be available to anyone on request.

The Code of Conduct Quick Reference highlights some of the key aspects of licensees’ professional obligations under the Code of Conduct. This summary is not a substitute for the full Code of Conduct. The Real Estate Authority expects licensees to comply with all of the rules in the Code of Conduct.
