  • The Code of Conduct

    The Code of Conduct sets out the standard of professional conduct and client care required of real estate professionals

  • Supervision

    The law requires that a salesperson carrying out agency work must be properly supervised and managed by an agent or branch manager

  • Marketing yourself

    There are rules you must follow when you are marketing yourself or a company in order to comply with the Real Estate Agents Act 2008

  • Approved consumer guides

    Licensees must provide these REA approved guides to residential buyers and sellers before they sign sale and purchase or agency agreements

  • Trust accounts

    Money received from real estate transactions is required by law to be paid into a trust account and must be audited in line with specific requirements

  • Reporting conduct concerns

    Licensees have obligations to report suspected misconduct by other licensees

  • Other laws and legislation

    You should have a sound knowledge of all legislation that imposes obligations on you as a licensee or is relevant to real estate agency work
